Quetzalcoatl Tattoo Ideas

Among the Aztecs, whose beliefs are in Aztec Mexican in historical sources, Quetzalcoatl was related to gods of the wind, of the planet Venus, of the dawn, merchants, and of arts, crafts, and knowledge. To the Aztecs, Quetzalcoatl was, as his name indicates, a feathered serpent, and not the dragon tattoo that is known for today. He was a creator deity having contributed essentially to the creation of mankind. He also had anthropomorphic forms, for example in his aspects as Ehecatl the wind god.

The exact significance and attributes of Quetzalcoatl varied somewhat between civilizations and through history in Aztec culture, Aztec symbols, and Aztec religion.

In the era following the 16th-century Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire, a number of records conflated Quetzalcoatl with Ce Acatl Topiltzin, a ruler of the mythical-historic city of Tollan.
